![]() ![]() In fact I gotten the DT880 premium 600s for $249 new once when I got them off ebay years ago. As i seen the premium 600's go for 250-280's with the premium 250 going for 300+. In my case, I use the peace front end for E-APO which has a drop down menu of all your output devices, usb or not, and lets you change whenever. But what i do find that the Premium 600's tend to be cheaper then the 250ohm which i find odd. I never own the DT880 premium 250 tho some say the premium 250 and the 600ohm premiums sound similar some says they sound the same. When I had the DT880 premium 600's I used a NFB15.32 which worked great with them. Which I seen them being used with Audio-GD NFB11/15, And Tube amp s like the little dot MK3 and darkvoices not a hybid tube amp. The main problem you will have is the 600ohm which I think you mention which is them being hard to drive. While the Premium series fit looser on your head which why the bass is tighter and the sound stage is bigger there was more but I don't recall.I do recall the DT880 pro-250 hurting my head and ears do to the tight fit. I must had skipped over him mentioning that he own the 600ohm version of the DT990 premium's.The DT880 pro-250 and a Premium 600 sound different as the DT880 pro-250 has a tighter fit and the drivers are closer to your ears which gives the bass impact that it has and the smaller sound stage which all i can recall. In fact even razer surround software work with external dac's, if one wants to still have some form of virtual headphone while going all external. It’s very easy to perform and it costs nothing to try. Please advise, many thanks Tom 1 Attachments configurator. Solution 1: Install as SFX/EFX Even though this is listed as an experimental feature in the Configurator window, installing as SFX/EFX managed to resolve the problem completely for many users and we hope it will do you good as well. I have checked the correct output in the configurator and tried the differerent troubleshooting options, with no joy. The USB dac I use is ifi nano idsd, via a USB type-c connection. All of the card software functions can be sent thru optical any way if one wished to use them. However, when I plug in a USB dac, the equalizer is not having any effect on the sound output. It def worth it if some one want to free a PCI-E slot up or not happy with the card any more or wanna go full external. NB - it wouldve been possible to program EQ APO with a load of standard. As I personally used the T90 my self with soild state and tube amp's and the tube amp route made it shine which I didn't expect.Īs regards to the modni2/uber its not a waste of money even if some one has or had a phoebus as it still a audio performance upgrade from one. I mostly wanted it for the built-in USB DAC. In fact i could just be that you do not like the DT990 pro-250 sound signature along with the Asgard 2 signature.īeyerdynamic headphones like the DT880pro/premium,DT990pro/premium and the Beyerdynamic T90's all match better and perform better with tube based headphone amps. I think this would be interesting to quite a lot users who are inexperienced in this kind of topic.Actually there no reason why the asgard 2 can't power the DT990 pro-250 since it powers the T90 that I had used to have perfectly and that is 250ohm headphone as well, Did you set the asgard 2 high gain and not low gain. Is there any way to get an automatic change of bitrate and kHz (noticable on the display of the DAC) and still use EqApo? Install an additional component in foobar2000 and use the settings from EqAPO (I didn't understand the process) and you can use PUSH/EVENT or ASIO?!?! But I also read that it's not bit-perfect? Use EqApo set gain at -4dB (check boxes on premix and post-mix in the configurator) = good soundĢ. don't use PUSH/EVENT or ASIO (no satisfaction when looking at the display) To my understanding there are a the following compromises, please correct me if I am wrong, I am far away from being an expert:ġ. Note that before it was going south, the equalizer APO with Oratory's HD 6xx harman curve made my 6xx become more bassy and enjoyable. I can only speak for myself and have to say that I find it quite satisfying when the indication (display) switches automatically to the correct bitrate and kHz, although I know that I'll probably won't hear a difference.īUT if you use equalizer settings with Equalizer APO all the effects won't work as soon as you use PUSH/EVENT or ASIO. Does Equalizer APO work with external DAC Recently, my Dell XPS 13's sound card has gone south therefore, I bought Khadas Tone Board in order to reduce the distortion. Common practice is the installation of ASIO or WASAPI (push/event) and setting the right output, pretty easy and everyone is happy, works with no problems. ![]()
